Metaphysical autobiography of Q. Dean Sloan

On the night of April 13, 1974 I had the karmic fortune of experiencing the natural uprising of “kundalini” (Sanskrit word for energy that lies dormant in the “Muladhara Chakra” at the base of the spine). I was sitting in my living room reading a book, and suddenly felt a pleasant intensification of energy. The energy quickly increased in magnitude and rose up my spine in the manner of a divine flood to my head, and at the same time I began hearing the "OM"* being sounded forth by the "Solar Logos"; the enormity of the sound was such that, as far as I could tell, it filled the whole universe. I consciously experienced the divine nature (within everyone) of my multi-dimensional higher self in the 5th dimension (heaven world), and realized that my consciousness¹ was immersed within the consciousness of the One sounding the OM. The ensuing mystical experience was extremely divine, enlightening, and wonderfully long. I experienced clairaudience of the 5th dimension and the energetic essence of the Biblical statement "in Him we live and move and have our being." I was in a state of ecstasy/bliss, but with a sharpness and clarity of intellect that is impossible to describe. I had partial etheric & astral vision, and saw a lavender/rose colored haze, the movement of which was barely perceptible. There was instant recognition and memory of having already experienced this before this lifetime, which was extremely empowering to say the least. An expansion of consciousness occurred that enabled me to understand many things that I couldn’t before. The experience lasted for about an hour before it began to subside. It diminished imperceptibly, and about six hours later I could still hear the OM and feel the divine energy of the 5th dimension. I was in a very heightened state of awareness, and didn’t go to bed until the following evening. I was 35 years-old then and had never heard of kundalini or the Solar Logos (in this lifetime that is).

* The OM Note: The sound is beautiful and is as close as you'll get to the genuine clairaudient & physically, as well as consciously, energetically divine, paranormal experience.

¹ Plotinus describes the powerful consciousness expanding awareness realised in mystical experiences in the last sentence: “Consider the soul by taking away that which is extraneous. Or rather, let him who takes this away survey himself, and he will see himself as immortal when he beholds himself in the intelligible world, and situated in a pure abode. For he will perceive himself as intellect surveying not anything sensible, but an eternal power contemplating that which is eternal.”

I spent a year with Walt Whitman's Leaves of Grass as a guide before synchronistically stumbling across The Secret Doctrine by H. P. Blavatsky, an extraordinary & monumental work, which contained knowledge of the human aura and kundalini, and at the same time found A Treatise on Cosmic Fire by Alice A. Bailey (amanuensis for the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul). I intuitively knew that I had spent some time with DK in a former life, and have recalled some good memories as well as one unpleasant memory related to another disciple at the Panchen Lamas Tashi Lhunpo monastery in Shigatse. I have a few very pleasant memories of daily life in the monastery, which entailed being instructed by the wise monks, including the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul, in one of his incarnations, as well as a lot of study and yoga, including hatha, raja, pranayama, and kundalini yoga. I also have an unpleasant memory of an event that happened there: Due to being particularly talented with the cultivation of plants, I had developed a park in which all of the chelas (disciples) went to meditate in the beautiful surroundings. One of the chelas was somewhat mentally disturbed and jealous of my talents. He psychologically “lost it” one day, as the saying goes, and went through the park tearing up all the beautiful shrubs & flowers. Because of the foregoing effect on my subconscious I had difficulty associating with disciples early on this time around in life, but overcame it later on in the resolution of psychological issues, just like most everyone else has to deal with.

I have studied theosophical metaphysics for 30 years, and the accumulated knowledge enabled me to intuit the answer in the paper that I wrote in response to Dr. Edgar Mitchell’s paper.

My book, Creation & Metempsychosis (Evolution of the soul), is a compilation of theosophical metaphysics that provides the technical metaphysical rationale for Creation itself, as well as Creation of the human Soul ("crown chakra" or "egoic lotus") and is based on the psychology of the Seven Rays. The “petals” in the crown chakra unfold slowly over a long series of lives, and every soul achieves relative perfection when they have completely unfolded and will go out no more. The majority of people are unaware of the underlying metaphysics that are the foundation of all religions, and the Catholic See in Rome, with its superficial pontification, is responsible for much of the erroneous, theological dogma¹ that has kept the major religions from uniting and making progress. The inculcation of exoteric (literal)² theological doctrines upon Christians and Catholics over the centuries  has prevented them from realizing that the dogma of one life to live in conjuction with an only begotten Son/world-savior who will release them from their karmic obligations is bogus theology that ignores the root basis for our individual existence, i.e., the Sahasrara chakra in the human aura or etheric causal field (spiritual body).
¹
You'll find in The Esoteric Character of the Gospels (See footnote 25 in Part 2), who the life of Jesus of Nazareth was based on, i.e., Jehoshua Ben Pandira who “lived a century earlier than the era called Christian, namely, during the reign of the Jewish King Alexander Jannaeus and his wife Salome, who reigned from the year 105 to 79 B.C. Accused by the Jews of having learned the magic art in Egypt, and of having stolen from the Holy of Holies the Incommunicable Name*, Jehoshua (Jesus), was put to death by the Sanhedrin at Lud. He was stoned and then crucified on a tree, on the eve of Passover.” The Gospel story of Jesus Christ is mythology, and was originally written by initiates for the purpose of veiling the 5 major points in the evolution of the human soul, from the symbolism of the birth at Bethlehem to the resurrection. See also The Historical Jesus and Mythical Christ by the highly respected, self-educated scholar, Gerald Massey.

* “The technique of the Mysteries was unfolded by the Sage Illuminator, the Master of the Secret House. The power to know his guardian spirit was revealed to the new initiate; the method of disentangling his material body from his divine vehicle was explained; and to consummate the magnum opus, there was revealed the Divine Name--the secret and unutterable designation of the Supreme Deity, by the very knowledge of which man and his God are made consciously one. With the giving of the Name, the new initiate became himself a pyramid, within the chambers of whose soul numberless other human beings might also receive spiritual enlightenment.”

² The division of Christian teachings into exoteric--public--and esoteric--secret--was understood by genuine Christian teachers to be the same as in other religious and philosophic systems. This is made particularly clear in Origen's book Contra Celsus: “That there should be certain doctrines, not made known to the multitude, which are [revealed] after the exoteric ones have been taught, is not a peculiarity of Christianity alone, but also of philosophic systems, in which certain truths are exoteric and others esoteric. Some of the hearers of Pythagoras were content with his ipse dixit; while others were taught in secret those doctrines which were not deemed fit to be communicated to profane and insufficiently prepared ears. Moreover, all the Mysteries that are celebrated everywhere throughout Greece and barbarous countries, although held in secret, have no discredit thrown upon them, so that it is in vain he [Celsus] endeavours to calumniate the secret doctrines of Christianity, seeing that he does not correctly understand its nature” (extract from Chapter VII).

The wild Rainbow Lorikeets have become very friendly. The photos below were taken by my wife, Jan, on February 26, 2008 in our back yard in Burnett Heads, Queensland Australia.

I've had a bird feeder attached to a tree branch near by for over 3 years, and recently decided to use the dish to see if they would come to me and, as you can see, no worry's mate. They frequently land on either my shoulders or the top of my head, and I have to raise my left hand up to them slowly in order to transfer them to my fingers, so I can lower them to the dish. The one in my left hand in the photo below had landed on my right shoulder (as shown further below). The two on the dish are the leaders of the group. The reason I'm smiling is due to the fact that when I moved the one in my hand closer to the dish so he could get some seeds, the Lorikeet in the middle pecked at him, and I had just moved him back when the picture was taken. The rest of the flock can't have any until the leaders have had their fill, so now I put extra seed in dishes on the ground so the rest can join in.

I set them down slowly & gently

The Lorikeet looking at me below was the one in my hand that I moved forward to the dish for seed, but then pulled him back to safety from the bully on the dish. He thought the world of me after that and landed on my forearm once as I was walking to the garage. I had to stop at the door, turn sidewise and lift my arm in the direction of the birdfeeder for him to fly off. I'm standing only a couple of feet away in 2 of  the last 3 photos posted here that I took after Jan went into the house.

                                                                                                                             I’m on Facebook

I sent a letter to Dr. Edgar Mitchell on June 22, 2010, and decided to post it here also, along with his response. Mathematicians should contact IONS if they have any suggestions on the following subject.

June 22, 2010

Subject: Dyadic Model of Consciousness

Dear Dr. Mitchell

I communicated with you via email several years ago (sometime in 2002) in response to your paper: Nature’s Mind: The Quantum Hologram, and stated that I had the answer, or metaphysical rationale, for “…the energy transfer mechanism by which the classical states of a remote object are affected.”  The answer was/is the “law of attraction”, which you disregarded on the basis of it being a “metaphysical assumption” or conjecture and, therefore, not a possibility.

Being a somewhat humble man, I’m aware of that attribute in others and, after reading your statement, “our current knowledge base is certainly incomplete and may even, in many respects, be totally incorrect,” I’m going on the assumption you’re very aware that your philosophical understanding/perception of the universe has been evolving throughout your adult life as you’ve acquired more knowledge & experience, and would agree that when evidence is presented (logical as well as perceptual) of our energetically connected, but autonomous, immortal self’s existence, that quantum mathematical formalism will naturally evolve to reflect that perceptual reality. In your own words: “a new paradigm, one that properly addresses, in verifiable scientific terms, our collective relationship to each other, to the environment, to nature, and to the Universe. Certainly as a species we have a long way to go to gain a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the true nature of ourselves and our universe.”

And I sincerely ask you, exactly what are “verifiable scientific terms”? It will be recognised very soon that “clairvoyant”* sight is the ultimate scientific research tool, because of the scientists who will have the faculty and, together, verify their observations with published papers. In your studies and research you’ve probably seen the illustration of the atom¹ as given in occult literature, including the spirillae within the atom. It won’t be too long my friend before main stream science acknowledges the existence of the “third eye”² (ajna chakra) within the human etheric³ causal field, and will also verify the existence of the mental & astral spheres, along with the astral light (atomic astral plane reflection of the akasha) and confirm the holographic nature of existence that’s naturally seen with astral sight.±
Since the OM (cosmic thought/ideation) is the originator of and pervades the cosmos
(“the zero point field”), there is an astrological science† to climate change (evolution) occurring with Sol & all of the planets in the solar system, as well as consciousness changes‡ occurring in humanity and the animal kingdom.

As you say: “Achieving new views of reality and, by implication, a sustainable modern civilization requires enlightened efforts to establish a fundamental shift in common perceptions leading to changes in thinking, values, behavior and actions based on the concepts of inter-connectedness, cooperation, and interdependence in all human endeavors.  This shift can come about if a significant portion of humankind develops this new awareness and understanding and incorporates them into individual and societal belief systems. Science can support this shift by providing reliable and credible empirical data in support of these premises…Humankind’s next phase of evolution will be more an evolution in thought, knowledge, spirituality and consciousness than one involving our biology or physiology. It will likely be an evolution in consciousness triggered by research involving dramatic change in perceptions, values, beliefs and attitudes and a profound resultant shift in human behavior. As a consequence of this shift, the “every man for himself” paradigm fueled by greed will be supplanted by the “all for one and one for all” paradigm fueled by a new spirit of altruism and unity. Predicated on credible science, peoples of the world must come to understand that we really are only as strong as our weakest link; that what we do to others we do to ourselves; and that we are indeed our brother’s keeper quite literally. When this comes about, it will be the dawn of a new day, and solutions to every other major threat, problem or challenge we face will quickly find their remedy, but certainly not before. To be sure, we must act quickly to embark on our journey deeper into the quantum realm, for time is not on our side. ”

There is a deeper or ultimate “knowing” than what you acknowledge and I quote from Plotinus: “Knowledge has three degrees-opinion, science, illumination. The means or instrument of the first is Sense; of the second Dialectic; of the third Intuition. To the last I subordinate reason. It is absolute knowledge founded on the identity of the mind knowing with the object known.

External objects present us only with appearance. Concerning them, therefore, we may be said to possess opinion rather than knowledge. The distinctions in the actual world of appearance are of import only to ordinary and practical men. Our question lies with the ideal reality that exists behind appearance. How does the mind perceive these ideas? Are they without us, and is the reason, like sensation, occupied with objects external to itself? What certainty would we then have-what assurance that our perception was infallible? The object perceived would be a something different from the mind perceiving it. We should have then an image instead of reality. It would be monstrous to believe for a moment that the mind was unable to perceive ideal truth exactly as it is, and that we had not certainty and real knowledge concerning the world of intelligence. It follows, therefore, that this region of truth is not to be investigated as a thing external to us, and so only imperfectly known. It is within us. Here the objects we contemplate and that which contemplates are identical-both are thought. The subject cannot surely know an object different from itself. The world of ideas lies within our intelligence. Truth, therefore, is not the agreement of our apprehension of an external object with the object itself. It is the agreement of the mind with itself. Consciousness, therefore, is the sole basis of certainty. The mind is its own witness. Reason sees in itself that which is above itself as its source; and again, that which is below itself as still itself once more.

You ask, how can we know the infinite? I answer, not by reason. It is the office of reason to distinguish and define. The infinite, therefore, can not be ranked among its objects. You can only apprehend the infinite by a faculty superior to reason, by entering into a state in which you are your finite self no longer-in which the Divine Essence is communicated to you. This is ecstasy. It is the liberation of your mind from its finite consciousness. Like only can apprehend like; when you thus cease to be finite, you become one with the infinite. In the reduction of your Soul to its simplest self, its Divine Essence, you realize this union-this identity.” [Cosmic Consciousness: 122-123 - Extracts from a letter written by Plotinus in response to a formal inquiry from the philosopher, Flaccus].

Needless to say for myself, it is a matter of “knowing” since I have memories§ (like many other human beings) of a previous life on earth, as well as clairaudiently/mentally hearing & ecstasly sensing the “Logos” sounding the “OM.” I’m one among many human beings who’s aware of their own individual, immortal self, as well as the existence of the consciousness of the greater life in which “we live, and move, and have our being.” “OM is the primordial sound, the first breath of creation, the vibration of existence” and, from my philosophical perspective, it seems to me that the mathematical formalism of “quantum mechanics” should be grounded in that fact. There are fundamental laws associated with Mind in the OM vibration, such as: the law of attraction; the moral law of cause & effect; motion originates on mental levels; mind is the means whereby evolution is possible; energy follows thought; thought causes evolution of substance; man vitalizes his physical body with his force; magnetic stimulation of the physical atom emanates from man on astral [emotional] levels, and later from intuitive levels; finally, through concentrated meditation, the thought images in the minds of other people become apparent.
Quoting again from your website:
“QUANTREK’s scientists believe civilization’s survival, evolution and best hope for a sustainable future are entirely dependent upon the emergence of a completely different worldview, one that properly addresses, in verifiable scientific terms, our collective relationship to each other, to the environment and to the universe…when we speak of “consciousness”, “mind”, or “knowing” we are, of necessity, addressing something that is only experienced subjectively. Indeed, studying consciousness forces us to recognize that all experience is fundamentally subjective. Thus, any model of consciousness that is rigorous and complete must be compatible with both the way that we experience consciousness subjectively and consistent as well with what we know about the physical world through the protocols of science. The dyadic model addresses both the subjective and objective aspects of the way consciousness is experienced. It addresses both the material and the ephemeral.”
However, it doesn’t appear that you acknowledge the difference between
“Mystical interpretations of the inner experience that have been communicated in terms of allegory and metaphor,” and mystical experiences (clairvoyant/clairaudient) that are communicated in terms of being genuine, conscious out-of-body, 5th dimensional, causal awareness experiences. Plotinus: “Many times it has happened: lifted out of the body into myself; becoming external to all other things; beholding a marvelous beauty; then more than ever, assured of community with the loftiest order; living the noblest life, acquiring identity with the Divine; poised above whatsoever is less than the Supreme; yet there comes the moment of descent, and after that sojourn in the Divine I ask myself how it happens that I can now be descending, and how did the soul ever enter my body, the soul which, even within the body, is the high thing it has shown itself to be.”
You go on to say:
“The dyadic theory suggests that the molecules of the body and brain are also in dynamic exchange of energy with the zero point field (as is all matter) and also resonate non-locally with each other and the remainder of the universe. The brain/body inner “feeling” sense provide perception of this information. Likely the zero point field is the mechanism for this resonance. The non-local resonance of energy and matter throughout the universe is suggested as nature’s most fundamental information management scheme.”
Our physical, astral (emotional), mental (manasic), intuitive (buddhic), and spiritual (atmic) etheric bodies are “the zero point field” and the “mechanism for this resonance.” You note that “the ecstasy of the Samadhi is more intense (in my own experience and as reported by others) than any other positive human experience.”
Well, the ecstasy of conscious awareness of being immersed within the conscious energy field of the Logos is certainly “more intense than any other positive human experience” also, and “ecstasy” stems from the “heavenly” vibrational nature of the 5th dimension (highest 3 sub-planes of the mental sphere/plane), not from “nature”, my friend, as nature (including humanity) is a poor reflection in the 3rd dimension of the inner reality of the generator (“egoic lotus”¶) of our mental activity that’s focused in the 3rd ventricle of the brain via the pituitary body & pineal gland. It’s just a matter of time before spiritual ETs8 verify the foregoing. Somehow, physicists, like yourself or Russell Targ, who are ahead of the pack, must recognise the validity of the OM (and the 7 Rays) in order to work out the mathematical formalism.

Best wishes from an American citizen living “down under.”

And the following was Dr. Mitchell's response.

June 29, 2010

Dear Mr. Sloan:

Thank you for your letter dated Tuesday, June 22, 2010, which arrived today. Dr. Mitchell is in the midst of preparing for a trip to England, and did not have sufficient time to devote to your well-researched proposals for further consideration.

He is most appreciative of your study of the Dyadic Model of Consciousness and plans to give further consideration to your letter and its contents when time permits.

Thank you again for your interest and your extensive contemplation of this elusive subject matter.

Sincerely,

Cathy Beals

I participated in Robert Bigelow's 2021 essay contest with regards the Best Evidence For Life After Death, which was originallyt titled - Best Evidence for Afterlife. There were

29 individual essays recognised, however, my essay wasn't one of them.

Here is my essay.

Best Evidence For Life After Death

The conclusive evidence for the afterlife is empirical, paranormal/mystical knowing/awareness of the heaven world, or intellectual realm of being, corroborated throughout history by the wisest souls who ever lived and Plotinus is a definitive example - “Many times it has happened: Lifted out of the body into myself; becoming external to all other things; beholding a marvellous beauty; then, more than ever, assured of community with the loftiest order; enacting the noblest life, acquiring identity with the divine; poised above whatsoever is less than the Supreme: yet, there comes the moment of descent from intellection to reasoning, and after that sojourn in the divine, I ask myself how it happens that I can now be descending, and how did the soul ever enter into my body, the soul which, even within the body, is the high thing it has shown itself to be...In the Cavern of Plato and the Cave of Empedocles I discern this universe, where the breaking of the fetters and the ascent from the depths are figures of the wayfaring of the soul towards the Intellectual Realm [Heaven]. In the Phadrus Plato makes a failing of the wings the cause of entry to this world; there are judgments, fates, and necessities driving other souls down to this order. In all these explanations he finds guilt in the arrival of soul at body. But treating in the Timaeus of our universe he exalts it [the soul] and calls it a blessed god and holds that Soul was given it [existence/consciousness] by the goodness of the Creator to the end that the total of things might be possessed of intellect, for thus it cannot be except through Soul. In the same way the soul of each of us is sent that the universe may be complete. This is how we come to read in the Phadrus that our soul, entering into association with that complete Soul and itself thus made perfect, walks the lofty ranges, and that as long as it is neither inbound to body nor held in any sort of servitude, so long it tranquilly bears its part in the governance of the All, exactly like the World-Soul itself; for it suffers no hurt whatever by furnishing body with the power to existence, since not every form of care for the inferior need wrest the providing Soul from its own sure standing in the Highest. . .(1).

My personal experience happened on the night of April 13, 1974 when I had the karmic fortune of experiencing the natural uprising of “kundalini” (Sanskrit word for energy that lies dormant in the “Muladhara Chakra” at the base of the spine). I was sitting in my living room reading a book, and suddenly felt a pleasant intensification of energy. * Plotinus describes the powerful consciousness expanding awareness realised in mystical experiences in the last sentence: “Consider the soul by taking away that which is extraneous. Or rather, let him who takes this away survey himself, and he will see himself as immortal when he beholds himself in the intelligible world, and situated in a pure abode. For he will perceive himself as intellect surveying not anything sensible, but an eternal power contemplating that which is eternal.” (2)

As a result of my mystical experience I have recalled memories of a previous life on earth at the Tashilhunpo Monastery in Shigatse, Tibet. I have a few pleasant memories of daily life in the monastery, which entailed being instructed by the wise monks, including the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul, as well as a lot of study and yoga. I also have an unpleasant memory of an event that happened there that was the result of being particularly talented with the cultivation of plants. Because of the foregoing effect on my subconscious I had difficulty associating with disciples early on this time around in life, but overcame it later on in the resolution of psychological issues (3).

Conclusive evidence with regards the afterlife can be found in a synthesis of philosophy & religion, which reveals that the human soul/godº is immortal¹ (“as above, so below”), therefore, has everlasting life and incarnates (voluntarily plunges²) periodically into a fetus out of evolutionary (4) and karmic necessity at the “appointed time”³ until it reaches relative perfection, as those (5) before us have demonstrated, after which it will go out no more.

º “I have said Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalm 82:6). “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?” (St. John 10:34).

¹ “The soul, Iamblichus says, is an immortal entity, unbegotten and imperishable, indivisible and incorporeal, therefore, it could not have come into existence at birth, nor will it perish at death. Furthermore, being indivisible, being essentially incorporeal, and having nothing in common with the body, it cannot be affected by anything, nor has it any concern with change or condition” (6).
² Plotinus: “Thus in sum, the Soul, a divine being and a dweller in the loftier realms, has entered body: it is a godº, a later phase of the divine: but, under stress of its powers and of its tendency to bring order to its next lower, it penetrates to this sphere in a voluntary plunge: if it turns back quickly all is well; it will have taken no hurt by acquiring the knowledge of evil and coming to understand what sin is, by bringing its forces into manifest play, by exhibiting those activities and productions which, remaining merely potential in the unembodied, might as well never have been even there, if destined never to come into actuality. . .” (7).
³ Job 14:14 If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.[“change” is the acquisition of new astral & mental sheaths of the 4th ether†, along with the skandhas (8), which predispose the new personality – “lower self” that forms around, due to the law of attraction, the physical etheric mold created by the “four Devarajas”* at the life review.] The “appointed time” is established at the conclusion of the life review wherein the “Lipika Lord” “Atropos” (“Myth of Er”) inserts the soul’s “irreversible” karmic “choice” into the metaphysical “whorl of necessity”. The soul then bows, saluting the “throne of necessity”, and departs to await the time allocated before its “voluntary plunge” into the fetus – the physical “whorl of necessity.”
Job 14:15 “Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee; thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.” [to continue from where you had left off in the previous life, and reap the good, as well as the bad, of what you had sown].
† See diagram of human energy field within God’s energy field on page 16 of a paper I wrote, re: “Nature’s Mind: The Quantum Hologram”, in response to a paper written by the late Capt. Edgar Mitchell, the 6th man to walk on the moon (9).
* The four Devarajas rule over the four elements of earth, water, air, and fire, with their indwelling nature-spirits and essences..” “..it is the Devarajas who, having command of the elements of which the etheric double must be composed, arrange their proportion [percentage of substance of each sub-plane] so as to fulfill accurately the intention of the Lipika [Lords of Karma].” The Lipika “weigh the deeds of each personality [during the life review] when the final separation of its principles [lower mental & astral bodies/personality] takes place at the end of its astral life, and give as it were the mold of an etheric double exactly suitable to its karma for the man’s next birth”(10).
